Asymmetry between Humans and Computers

Current Definition

Humans and Computers have different abilities; therefore they can and should contribute complimentary parts in a cooperative problem solving situation. This asymmetry can be exploited in the design of cooperative problem solving systems. Creating human-centered systems often means to complement rather than emulate human capabilities (e.g., natural language may not be the preferred mode of communication in all cases).
